Welcome to my site, Nourish & Cherish! My name is Rachel Aletta. I love the outdoors, healthy whole foods, and living my life to the fullest. I decided start a blog about this healthy lifestyle I’ve learned to love.
Let me take you through a little bit of my story.
About 5 years ago I began to have intense stomach pains. Instead of turning to prescription medication, I was inspired to turn to my fridge. I visited a holistic health consultant who inspired me to remove gluten/dairy from my diet and to continue to exercise regularly. I went from filling my tummy with McDonald’s McFlurries, Taco Bell’s cheese quesadilla (with the extra sauce), and unlimited chocolate to filling it with the garden of eden. Veggies, fruits, & whole grains became my best friends!
Coupled with my diet, exercise has played a huge role in controlling my symptoms. I have found that a moderate balance between diet and exercise can lead to a happy me.
This blog is a collaboration of whole food, plant-based meals, foods, snacks, & smoothies! I also want to include simple exercise & wellness tips that have truly helped me.
So why am I doing this?
Recently, I have met so many people in my life who deal with an illness similar to my own. When I find out that they are fighting or struggling with these illnesses, I just want to unload all the information I have learned over the past 5 years. I want them to know what I had to figure out, so they wont have to suffer so much. That is why I started this blog. Here, I are going to share recipes, tips, fun videos, and lifestyle changes that I have discovered and loved.
